Cyanotype Cyanotype is an early photographic process developed in 1842 that uses sunlight to create images on paper or fabric. Through a mixture of light-sensitive iron salts, exposure to light transforms the surface into an intense Prussian blue, while the protected areas remain light, giving rise to images with an essential and timeless beauty.
Each cyanotype is the result of an entirely manual process: preparing the surface, exposing it to light and washing the print all contribute to making each work unique, with unrepeatable nuances and details. The works presented on this page are handcrafted and emerge from the encounter between a historic photographic process and contemporary artistic research, where time, light and material become an integral part of the image.
The characteristic Prussian blue can also be transformed through the toning process viraggio, which alters the color of the image without affecting its details. Using baths made with natural ingredients such as coffee, black tea or green tea, the blue gives way to warmer, softer tones: from deep browns to sepia, delicate greys and olive-green shades. Each toning treatment reacts differently to the print, making each work even more unique and giving it an unrepeatable character, born from the encounter between technique, material and experimentation.

ARCANA THE HIGHER DESIRES

THE 22 MAJOR ARCANA OF THE TAROT IN A BDSM KEY

A visual and symbolic journey through the 22 Major Arcana, reinterpreted in a contemporary and sensual way, where spirituality meets the body, power intertwines with fragility, and desire becomes a tool for self-knowledge.

The cyanotypes in this series transform the traditional symbols of the Tarot into an intense and unsettling visual language, inspired by BDSM aesthetics, the theatre of the mind, and inner exploration.

Each card is an archetype, a story, a tension between light and shadow, between control and surrender, between the sacred and the profane.

COMING SOON The cards are about to be revealed…

“There are no chains stronger than the ones we choose.”
