I was born in Bologna in 1959. I have been working in photography since the 1970s, beginning with reportage and gradually developing my practice through different experiences and visual languages.
For several years, I worked as a sports photographer, covering international events such as Formula 1, MotoGP and rally racing. I later expanded my work into the worlds of fashion and advertising, collaborating with publications and magazines including Playboy, Café Racer France, Forbes and others. Playboy, Café Racer France, Forbes and others.
Alongside traditional photography, with a constant interest in social and street photography, I have developed a personal research practice over the years focused on experimental and instant photography, particularly Polaroid and other transfer techniques. My work focuses on experimenting with instant materials, combined with manual interventions and chemical processes that transform the photographic image into a unique object.
My work often emerges from the encounter between photography and painting, seeking to transcend the conventional boundaries of the photographic medium while enhancing its uniqueness and unpredictability.
Over the years, I have exhibited in contemporary art shows and fairs in Italy and abroad, pursuing a visual research practice focused on experimentation and visual storytelling. Among my most representative projects are Motel Stories e Italian Memories; the latter was also used for a fashion collection exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
Today, I continue to work with instant photography and other media, exploring new expressive possibilities and new ways of telling stories.
